Having trouble logging into the library databases? Receiving a username or password error?
Unless you have reset your username and password in MySWU, it should be formatted as follows...
username: "firstnamelastname" and password: "lastnamelast5SSN" (example: johnsmith / smith12345).
I entered the above information, but received an error message...
Try this first:
If you have been attempting to log into a library resource through MySWU, try accessing it directly from the library web page. Click "Databases A-Z," select the database you wish to search, and log in when prompted.
Still getting an error message? Try this next:
Go to MySWU, but do not log in. Underneath the login box, click the link that says, "I forgot my password." Follow the instructions to reset your password.
Password reset could take up to 15 minutes to take effect. Resetting your password will effect the following services:
Microsoft Live@EDU email
Network Computer Login
Chalk and Wire
I reset my password and waited 15 minutes, but I'm still getting an error message. What next?
If you reset your password and are still not able to log into the library databases, please contact the library by chat, email, or phone.
