Student Worker Handbook: Evaluations

What you need to know to excel as a library assistant

End of Semester Evaluations

At the end of each semester, a library staff member will evaluate each student worker.  This gives each student worker a chance to see in what areas they are doing well and where they need to improve.

Your Evaluation

We want you to be able to use the library as a reference when you are searching for a job after college. To that end, we provide you with an evaluation so that you can learn and grow from this experience.  Many jobs go through this same process with employees.  We would love to give you an outstanding reference!

You will be evaluated on:

     1. Job knowledge and skill

     2. Ability to work independently

     3. Quality of work

     4. Dependability/Reliability

     5. Drive & Initiative

     6. Cooperation

     7. Attendance

     8. Attitude toward job

We appreciate you and hope that you will feel a sense of satisfaction and pride in a job well done.

Career Services Evaluations

The Career Services office has started doing online evaluations of their own.  These are compared to other student workers on a National scale.  Career services sends a personalized email with details of what the results mean.
